Pro-Green Shapers began with a group of Donholm residents concerned about a shrinking, neglected environment. Today it is a registered CBO with a written Constitution, an elected leadership, and programmes running across five neighbourhoods in Embakasi East.

Partner and collaborate with the National and County Governments, the Department of Social Development, NEMA, other environmental organizations, donors and well-wishers.
Undertake any other lawful environment-related activity that furthers the Organization's mission.

A group of Donholm residents, frustrated by dumping and shrinking green space, begin meeting and organising informal weekend clean-ups.

Our first tree-planting day and our expansion into a second clean-up zone at Fedha Estate teach early lessons that still shape how we operate.
A dedicated tree nursery, environmental clubs in three primary schools, and a youth green livelihoods track all launch, broadening our work beyond clean-ups alone.
Active in Donholm, Greenfields, Savannah, Buruburu and Fedha, with more than 500 trees planted and a growing household sustainability programme.
The supreme decision-making organ, made up of the full registered membership. Meets at least once a year at the Annual General Meeting.
The management organ responsible for day-to-day administration: Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary, Vice-Secretary, Treasurer, Organizing Secretary and two Committee Members, elected for a three-year term, renewable once.
Established from time to time by the Executive Committee to handle specific functions such as tree planting, clean-ups or fundraising.
The Executive Committee is elected for a three-year term, renewable once, and comprises a Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary, Vice-Secretary, Treasurer, Organizing Secretary and two Committee Members. It meets at least once a quarter to review programmes, finances and administration.
An Annual General Meeting is held every calendar year, with at least fourteen days' notice, to receive reports, approve accounts and, where due, hold elections.
Organizational funds are held in a bank account operated by any two of three signatories, the Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer, with all expenditure authorised by the Executive Committee and supported by receipts. Accounts are subject to an annual audit or independent examination.
